State of EVs 2026: An EV bought every 100 seconds as car choice, charging and innovation accelerate
Australians are switching to electric vehicles (EVs) in record numbers as cost-of-living
pressure and soaring fuel prices meet a wave of more affordable models and greater choice,
according to the Electric Vehicle Council’s State of EVs 2026 report, launched today by the
Federal Minister for Climate Change & Energy, the Hon. Chris Bowen.
